it’s been a while since my last post from tdm2014. TW560 has been clocking lots of kilometers, taking me across switzerland occasionally and taking me to my new office every day.
every end of year allows me to check the resetable counter on TW560: Z3 Hand (manual counter) – this year it shows 26830kms – this is quite alot more than switzerland’s average yearly mileage of 12600kms!
my average consumption this year is markedly higher than other years because around 85% of the kilometers were driven at high speeds on motorways.
the last few days of 2014 were very interesting since, for once, we got some snow around zurich. some say, it was too much, but for me in the TWIKE it was just perfect! power-slides, massive understeer and driving up streets no other car could go – yay!
then, there was finally also some cold – my batteries, slowly getting older, (88000kms, 13000Ah discharged), definitely let me know that -10°C during nighttime is very cold and that the usual 6+kWh are not available, whilst consuming about 40% more energy than in summer…who said fun was economical?
