one day after my catastrophic rim failure, TW560 arrives at möckli elektrofahrzeuge.
thomas mails me a few pictures and lets me know that this time repairs will not come cheap!
let’s have a quick look, shall we?
one of the first things to be subjected to abrasion is the battery bay. TW560’s battery bay wasn’t in a good shape in the first place: first rim failure and … obviously my 3 weeks in india.

furthermore, a very expensive part of TW560 has had enough: the plexi hood. they are not being produced anymore and replacing it will mean sourcing some 15-20 year old part from someone’s stock.

furthermore, another very expensive part broke: the flexible and extremely light white outside hull – one can see the carpet inside…from outside.

next, the stabilizers were subjected to forces they were not designed to take and were bent badly.

below are the next parts that were subjected to direct contact with tarmac.

this is where all the silver lines on the road came from! – this part should be about 5 milimeters longer…

ouch!
thomas told me to go back to where the rim broke and try to find more bits and pieces – anything he doesn’t have to reconstruct will come much cheaper and look considerably better.
my days without TW560 are not very pleasant! thomas tells me that it will take more than a week of work to repair all the various parts affected by the failure > calculate swiss labour costs and you already know that this will be extremely expensive!
