As mentioned in the last entry, my trip generated quite some interest in the Interwebs. Specifically, this tweet, which motivated Leonardo Rodrigues, a journalist from a Lisbon-based digital-only publication, amensagem.pt to reach out to me and ask me if I were interested in a creating a piece in his publication.
TW560 is no stranger to press coverage.
Leonardo and I met up and he got the full TWIKE treatment. All information, a long cross-city drive in the TWIKE and lots of ‘TWIKE magic’!
Being used to interviews, we quickly ticked off the usual boxes. Leonardo, also, had done his homework and had read my FAQ page with all the usual questions prior to getting into TW560.
We cruised across town, Lisbon has lots of cobblestone streets which are less than ideal for comfortable TWIKE rides.
Stopping at one of the many Miradoruous, he quickly saw what I mean by magic. People would just walk up to me asking questions and me answering in multiple languages makes things sooo much easier!
The ride was just 2 hours and with the help of a mobile phone not only were pictures taken, but also all our conversations captured.
Leonardo then hooked me up with his favourite photographer, Rita and told me that it would take 1-2 weeks for him to process the interview.
Rita and I then met up at the river and she did her magic… Another set of really nice TWIKE 560 photos was created. I hope you like them, too. (TW560 looks timeless, whilst I’ve aged markedly since I purchased it!)
A week later, Leonardo reached out to me and asked me to review the article. It turned out to be a very thoughtful article about sustainable mobility which I really liked!
